Lead-Based Paint Inspector
Initial Training
This three-day training course properly trains individuals performing inspections or samples to identify lead-based paint present in paint, dust or soil and abatement clearance activities. This course follows the EPA Model Accreditation Curriculum and includes hands-on activities and demonstrations.
Valid for licensing in: IL (or accepting reciprocal states)
Topics include: Role and responsibilities of an inspector, background information on lead, health effects, regulations and guidance for activities related to lead-based paint, lead-based paint inspection
methods, clearance standards and testing, preparation of the final
inspection report, and recordkeeping
